From my mothers diaries of Brooks, Ia. On Nov 17, 1941 at the west RRxing. Ira Dawson/Tinsley made a moving picture recreation of the Clarence Hayes RR accident of many years past. In addition to the event, the Brooks Schoolchildren posed in the film. It is this old Tinsley film I seek, taken in Adams co Ia prior to WW2. I have seen portions of it at the Brooks homecomings in the 1940s. Ira Dawson probably furnished the film. Does anyone know of a collection of the old Tinsley films. Thanks

Searching for more details on BONAR, William and Emma, age 72 and 74 respectively in the 1900 Prescott Twp., Adams County 1900 Census. They moved from Illinois some time after the 1860 census, but he was born near Moundsville, (West) Virginia and she elsewhere in Virginia proper. Emma is my great-great- grandmother. One son of Emma's, James BONAR was in rural Lancaster, NE by 1872, where he married Elizabeth KEHLER on September 3, 1872. I lose both of the latter by 1880, but can track my grandfather, Lew BONNER until his death in 1940 in Texas. I would like any help anyone can give to finding an obituary or some listing of who were survivors of William and Emma at their deaths probably in the first two decades of this century in Adams County, Iowa.

I am looking for information about the possibility that my gg grandparents, Stacy E. TEMPLER and Mary BERRY might have come to Adams County, IA between 1850 and 1860. In 1850 they are in Knox County, IL and old family records indicated that they may have gone to Adams County, IL near Quincy. No record of them can be found there and so I am grasping at straws right now. Once I found out that there was a Quincy in Adams County, IA, I just could not resist. Gr. grandparents Frank and Anna (Cerny) FRUS emigrated from Bohemia (Czech Rep.) in 1867, stopping first in Iowa City, IA, then settling permanently near Williamson in Adams County with their children Joseph, Mary, Charles, Frank, John and James. Frank FRUS (jr) was born in Iowa City 4-24-1871, married Fanny KALLA in Omaha, NE 6-28-1893 and settled on a farm in Adams Co. near his parents, where their three sons were born: Henry, Ed, and my father, Raymond. Raymond FRUS was born 1-14-1902, moved to Omaha, NE in 1922, and married Caroline PYCHA 10-27-27. Their four children are Robert, Donald, Vicki (me), and Frances. My gr. grandparents, Frank and Anna FRUS both died in 1911, my grandmother, Fanny FRUS died in 1922, my grandfather, Frank FRUS (jr.) died in 1947 and all are buried in the Bohemian National Cemetery near Williamson. Would like to hear from any other members of this FRUS family or any descendants of this Bohemian community. We are trying to find out where they lived in the Czech Republic. Any information will be appreciated. Thank you.
